An ukiyo-e by one of the famous painters of the Edo period, Utagawa Kuniyoshi. It is a scene from a historical fiction book "Chugiden". Princess Takiyasha, a daughter of a long defeated warlord summons to a monster to fight against the lord of a family who killed her father. This picture became the image of a traditional monster, "Gasha-dokuro".
