Furoshiki
Furoshiki Tokyo
Materiaal: 100% katoen (licht katoen zodat je het ook als sjaal kunt dragen!)
Afmetingen: Approx. 97 cm x 97 cm
Afbeelding: Furoshiki with the theme of "Showa Tokyo" and "Modern Tokyo". There are many landmarks that symbolize each era.
The motif is Tokyo, the pattern of the electric wires in the background is inspired by the overhead wires of the streetcar (Toden) that stretched across the sky of Tokyo at that time. Vehicles, buildings, signs, and ad balloons, which were common at the time, are noteworthy.
Designer: Misato Asayama was born in Tokyo. He is a member of the Japan Craft Design Association. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, he completed the Department of Dyeing and Textiles at the same graduate school. He has exhibited many of his own furoshiki in various parts of Japan, and has participated in cultural exchange activities overseas through his works. Featuring a design that makes flat cloth look three-dimensional with a pattern, we have developed a large number of humorous and playful furoshiki.
