Patch／Chinese peacock butterfly

The Japanese name "Karasu-ageha" is freely translated into Crow butterfly. A beautiful swallowtail that looks blackish at first glance and has a metallic luster of blue to green with red spots on the back wings. Inhabits forests in the suburbs of Japan. Loves to suck on azalea, lily and thistle flowers.
*This patch was made using Japan engineered special metallic embroidery yarns, to try and get closer to nature's magnificent colors.
