Spirits that root on long-existing old objects will become a "Tsukumogami" yokai. It will come to life and obtain a mind of its own. These yokai of straw sandal and a toy stick horse have become a Tsukumogami.

*Hyakki-yako is a late-night parade of "yokai" (spirits). White threads of the patch glows in the dark.
