Donabe (Japanese heat resistance pan) series
Every Japanese family owns at least one or more “Donabe’s”.
Donabe pans are traditionally used to prepare (noodle) soup, stewing, Japanese rice cooking for sushi and risotto.
While they can be put directly on open fire, this type of earthenware allows an even and efficient distribution of the heat. Food prepared in these cookers is said to be very tasteful!
